Georgia Lists Digital Gravy, LLC as Dissolved. Etch Is Still on Sale.
Georgia's business register gives its status as "Admin. Dissolved", dated 18 September 2026. That's the company named on your Automatic.css licence.
I looked up Digital Gravy, LLC on Georgia’s business register on 2 November 2026. Digital Gravy is the name on the licence for Automatic.css, or ACSS, a CSS framework. It’s also the name on the terms for Etch for WordPress, or EtchWP, a site builder plugin. Here’s what came back.

The record says the company was formed on 14 December 2018. Its last annual registration year is 2025. It was dissolved on 18 September 2026.
EtchWP shipped version 1.7.1 a month after that date. Its pricing page still had checkout links on the day I looked.
Is that your company?
Read your paperwork. The ACSS licence agreement says the software is “operated by Digital Gravy, LLC, a(n) Corporation formed in Georgia”. EtchWP’s terms say the site is “operated by Digital Gravy”, also “formed in Georgia”. Both documents send disputes to a court in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The footer on the EtchWP site says “Copyright 2026 © Digital Gravy”.
Neither page names any other company. The register lists Kevin Geary, the man this site is about, as the company’s registered agent, in Gwinnett County.
What dissolved means in Georgia
Georgia’s LLC law says a company the state dissolves this way still exists, but may only carry on the business needed to wind up and liquidate its affairs.
I’m not a lawyer, and I can’t tell you what that means for a sale, a renewal or a licence you already hold. I can tell you what these products did after 18 September. EtchWP released version 1.7.0 on 8 October and version 1.7.1 on 19 October. ACSS released version 4.0.2 on 1 November. The EtchWP checkout stayed open.
Nothing I found on the EtchWP and ACSS sites mentions the dissolution.
How a company gets here
The same law lists the grounds for this kind of dissolution. An annual registration can be more than 60 days late. The company can have no registered agent or office in Georgia, or fail to report a change to either. Or a fee can bounce.
The state has to send written notice first, and the company gets 60 days to fix the problem.
Annual registrations are due by 1 April. The last one on this record is for 2025. In my view that points to a missed 2026 registration, with the deadline more than five months before the dissolved date.
It’s a cheap fix
The law gives a dissolved company five years to apply for reinstatement. Once reinstatement is granted, it takes effect from the dissolution date, and the company carries on as if it had never been dissolved. Georgia’s Secretary of State puts the fee at $250 online, and the application has to state that the company’s taxes are paid.
So the dissolved status could disappear from the record tomorrow. That status doesn’t show the company is broke or shutting down.
On 2 November, 45 days after the dissolved date, it hadn’t been fixed.
Why you should care
This company’s pre-sale for EtchWP told you “You’re taking a risk on us”. You may hold a lifetime licence with this company. If you’re on ACSS 3.x, you’re counting on its promise of “critical bug fixes and security updates for the next 5 years”.
Those are promises that run for years, on client sites you maintain. Geary has plenty to say about professionalism. His company’s own public record says “Admin. Dissolved”.
Before you pay them again
Search the register yourself, using control number 18151121.
Then find the company name on your receipt, and email Digital Gravy. Ask which legal entity holds your licence, and the date that entity’s status will be fixed. Keep the reply.
